If you’re reading this, it’s because you subscribed to my blog.

First, thank you for subscribing. I don’t blog as regularly as I should, but I’m glad you’re along for the ride with me. Comments are always appreciated and will keep me motivated to post.

Second, I have been blogging since 2012, so there’s a lot of content you may have missed. As a welcome note, I want to share some of my faves. If you have favorite blogs that aren’t on here, please comment on this post, and I will add them to the list.

My favorite blog posts

I first started blogging as Magnolia2Mumbai when I moved from Magnolia, TX to Mumbai, India! Since then, the blog has evolved a lot—like me.

  • I will begin this list where all lists should begin—with Ganesh, the beloved elephant-headed god. I updated an old post recently to reflect a better understanding of Mumbai and its culture.
  • While my views of Starbucks have changed, I remain proud of my blog, which used its entry into the Indian market to explain the complexities of foreign direct investment.
  • My Gita by Devdutt Pattanaik remains one of my favorite books and my most popular book review.
  • Once upon a time, however, I had a reputation as a Chetan Bhagat fangirl, and One Indian Girl remains my favorite of his books.
  • Since returning to the U.S., I have not blogged as often, but I have written about my favorite place in Philly: the South Indian Temple Hall at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
  • Of course, I must honor the unwritten law that all blogs about India must contain at least one post about Hindi cinema with thoughts on Challa, my favorite SRK song.
